Planning webinar
A general update about the Wisconsin COVID-19 Vaccination Plan will be shared on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 a.m for vaccine partners and stakeholders. This webinar will focus on current plans for Phase 1A, which involves priority vaccination for health care personnel.

The Wisconsin State Disaster Medical Advisory Committee (SDMAC)’s working definition of health care personnel is: “Individuals who provide direct patient service (compensated and uncompensated) or engage in healthcare services that place them into contact with patients who are able to transmit SARS-CoV-2, and/or infectious material containing SARS-CoV-2 virus.”

New CDC Resources for COVID-19 Vaccinators
Resources You Can Use Now
- Best Practices on Vaccine Storage and Handling. CDC’s Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit now includes an addendum with best practices and other resources to assist COVID-19 vaccination providers with proper storage and handling of COVID-19 vaccines. This addendum aims to help providers meet the requirements of the COVID-19 Vaccination Program Provider Agreement. The toolkit will be updated as COVID-19 vaccines are authorized or approved. You may sign up for email updates anytime the toolkit is updated.
- COVID-19 Vaccine Training Module for Healthcare Providers. This new web-on-demand module is for healthcare providers who will be administering COVID-19 vaccine. The training includes information about COVID-19 vaccine EUAs, vaccine safety, and general information about vaccine storage, handling, administration, and reporting.

COVID-19 Vaccine Enrollment forms: Updated Reimbursement Information for Providers
Entities which have already completed the Wisconsin COVID-19 Vaccine program enrollment forms, or which are about to turn them in, do not need to resubmit or regenerate their forms.
Please be aware that in the COVID-19 Vaccine Enrollment Form A, Section 4, there is new guidance that patients should incur NO out-of-pocket costs for COVID-19 vaccination.
The updated language is as follows:
Organization must administer COVID-19 vaccine regardless of the vaccine recipient’s ability to pay COVID-19 vaccine administration fees or coverage status. Organization may seek appropriate reimbursement from a program or plan that covers COVID-19 Vaccine administration fees for the vaccine recipient. Organization may not seek any reimbursement, including through balance billing, from the vaccine recipient.
Direct any questions you may have regarding billing or reimbursement of vaccine administration fees covered by private insurance or Medicaid to the respective insurance provider or Medicaid program.
Those entities administering the COVID-19 vaccine to patients without insurance or whose plans will not cover the vaccine may request reimbursement for COVID-19 vaccine administration through the Provider Relief Fund, https://www.hrsa.gov/CovidUninsuredClaim.
