This committee is responsible for the ongoing review of all codes and standards relating to healthcare engineering. The committee develops Code Alerts to inform the membership of changes to codes and standards and provides code related education to the organization. The committee also serves in an advocacy role by establishing and maintaining contacts with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ,) and developing relationships with regulating agencies that will provide avenues for WHEA input regarding standards development and revision. The committee rosters representatives from each chapter, as well as other persons from within the allied healthcare community, to serve on this committee.
